The Council of States sends a strong signal towards a memorial for the victims of National Socialism

On 8 June 2021, the Council of States approved a memorial for the victims of National Socialism. Together with the Christian-Jewish Working Group, the Swiss Federation of Jewish Communities and representatives of academia (University of Basel, Archives of Contemporary History of the ETH Zurich), the Organisation of the Swiss Abroad expressly welcomes this decision. Only recently, on 25 May, a concept for an official Swiss memorial was submitted to the Federal Council together with the organisations mentioned above.
