He was a fascinating figure whose life was cut short. Andreas Walser was an artist from Grisons who forged early friendships with the people who inspired him – Pablo Picasso, Jean Cocteau and Klaus Mann – and established himself on the international scene. Walser died in 1930 at the age of just 22. The Museum of Fine Arts in Chur is now dedicating an exhibition to him, complemented by concerts, performances and readings.
